This our first hour-long episode. That's more great running, with a cool-down after 45 minutes if you don't have the time for the full runset.

This is also the first episode that invites cyclists to pedal to the beat of the tunes on my show. I also give some gear suggestions along the way. Please be warned that cycling to music on a road or trail is dangerous, so I don't endorse road cycling to the podcast. I have greatly enjoyed pedaling on my trainer to the last several episodes and thought listener/runners might enjoy doing the same on a stationary bike, kinetic trainer, or rollers. You can find more information about cycling to the beat on my new website, BikeToTheBeat.com.

I welcome your opinions about the the longer length and cycling to the beat. You can send them to comments@jogtunes.com.

Most of the songs are by artists whose works were played by members of the Association of Music Podcasting (AMP). I'm grateful to AMP and the shows I used as a resource.

Here are the AMP-associated music podcasts and the artists they and I played:

  • Dave's Lounge: Bitter:Sweet - Peach Stealing Monkeys
  • Audio Gumshoe: Amanda Bentley - David Lane
  • Coal Cracker Radio: Junior - Annex
  • Homegrown Podcast: Matt Nathanson
  • Indie Music Sampler: Peter Katz and the Curious - Strangers in Wonderland
  • Journey Inside My Mind: Beatrice Ericsson
  • Other artists on this show:

  • Hedda Layne and Troy Lee Warden - Disclosure statement: Hedda and Troy are signed artists. They gave me permission to play their music royalty free. Troy just happens to be my son and Hedda's my daughter-in-law. I really like their music, our family relationship notwithstanding.
  • Urbansnake
  • You're invited to check out the playlist for this episode for more details, including purchase links and band websites. You can find past shows and all the tunes from these shows at jogtunesindie.com.
