For this anniversary edition I decided to reminisce a bit. Most of the songs are by great indie artists who appeared in earlier JTIP shows. I decided not to repeat any tunes, just play new ones by these performers.

Here's what's in store: one hour of music that sequenced in 2 segments, a 45 minute run, and what I like to call a 15 minute sprint.

And something new for the JTIP. The tempos will vary more than in past shows with interval bursts of speed between slower runs. Runners may want to watch their pulse monitors during the 15 minute segment. There's 3 minutes of heart-pounding, 186-BPM running to a fun rock tune by Brother Love.

Here are the artists in order of appearance (some have several tunes on board):

  • Momo-J (Encore)
  • Shocking Edison (Encore)
  • ANTIQCOOL (New to the JTIP)
  • The Alice Project (Encore)
  • Two Loons for Tea (Encore)
  • Beau Hall (New)
  • Brother Love (Encore)
  • Bob Gentry (Encore)
  • Hedda Layne and Troy Lee Warden (Encore) (Disclosure: my daughter-in-law and son)
  • You can find all of their tunes by entering their names in the artist search field on our podcast tunes page.

You're invited to check out the playlist for this episode for more details, including purchase links and band websites. You can find past shows and all the tunes from these shows at jogtunesindie.com.

A special thanks goes to Adam Curry and the Podsafe Music Network. All of the above artists' songs (except Bob Gentry's and Hedda Layne's) are listed on the PMN and many are for sale there. Adam and the PMN were the first source of tunes for the JTIP and I'm grateful for their help in getting us launched.

I wish to thank Todd Cochrane of the GeekNewsCentral Podcast and blubrry.com for their great support of this show and jogtunes.com, the early promotions, and their service to the podcasting community.

A big thanks also to Adam Christianson of The Maccast for his early and continued promos of jogtunes.com and this podcast.

And, finally, thank you JTIP listener/runners for running with me on this fun trip and for your enthusiasm and support for music-paced running. And thanks to the great artists who generously allow me to play their songs and willingly share their thoughts and comments with me.
