Just for fun and a little variety, I'm trying another format in this episode. The songs are synched to provide a 30-minute segment within a 45-minute runset. Runners who just don't have time to complete the 45-minute work-out can cool down and stop running at 30 minutes. Everyone else can go for 16 more minutes. The last segment includes a faster sprint before the second cool-down. Please tell us what you think at comments@jogtunes.com.

A big thanks to two outstanding music podcasters for their help in preparing this episode. The first goes to Ed Uken and his new show, Journey Into Soul. Ed plays a great mix of new soul, jazz, funk, R&B, blues, and electronic music. His first two episodes included music by and an interview with Ian Martin, bassist, producer, and composer. His Tell Me If You Still Care is number two in this runset and kicks us into a nice run at 162 BPM.

Then there's Allan Carr and DarkHorse Radio. Allan's in the UK and plays a wonderfully eclectic mix of indie music from around the world. I found Matt Mays on Allan's show and I'm happy to play Matt's City of Lakes in this show. It's number 6 in the set and runs at 169 BPM.

Here are the artists (click to see their websites), songs, and BPMs:

Dreamline - Universal Domain (109 BPM) (Intro)

Sophia Ramos - Black Madonna (149 BPM) - Girlfriends Ghost (162 BPM)

Ian Martin - Tell Me If You Still Care (162 BPM)

CLING - Abandoned (174 BPM) - Luna C (181 BPM) - The Other Side (141)

The Legend Killers - Hittin' The Road (162 BPM) - Gonna Snap (152 BPM)

Natives of the New Dawn - Good Day (175 BPM)

Matt Mays - City of Lakes (150 BPM)

Hedda Layne and Troy Lee Warden - Don't Want It To Stop (128 BPM) (Record label artists and my son and daughter-in-law) (Outro)
