Episode 009: Sick of the Competition or Top Welt! Goes HXC
Episode 9 is important because Top Welt! announces its first ever contest, so you can win some free stuff with minimal effort. (Check out myspace.com/topwelt for more details). The episode also features an interview with Lou Koller of Sick of it All, who are now touring in support of their newest album, Death to Tyrants. Bill and Kevin also review two live shows: Sick of it All and The Aquabats, as well as a few CDs, including Less Than Jake's In With the Out Crowd: Special Edition, Flogging Molly, The Ditty Bops, Punk Goes 90s, and Good Riddance. This is also a special fan appreciation edition, as they give thanks to groups like Punknews.org and others that have been helping Top Welt! out tremendously, as well as reading some of their fan mail. In movies, The Break Up is reviewed and the guys also talk about The Omen, Clerks II, Snakes on a Plane, and Christopher Guest. Video game talk includes Fight Night 3, Kingdom Hearts, Castlevania, and GTA. The Office and professional wrestling are discussed for television news. Songs played on this episode include 'Run' by The Swellers, 'Darkest Days' by Good Riddance, and 'Die Alone' and 'Relentless' by Sick of it All. Top Welt! also debuts Hit the Switch's 'Mr. Abrasive' as its official outro track
