Episode 014: Against the Epoxies! or I've Got Nothing
Episode 14 of Top Welt! features two shorter interviews. The first is a follow up with the one and only Against Me! and this time Andrew joins Tom for the fun. Contest 005 is announced for a signed episode by Tom and Andrew of Against Me! In addition, the guys did a guerrilla style interview with Roxy from the Epoxies to ask about their tour and new music. Roxy lets Top Welt! in on some touring problems, their writing plans and writing process, as well as the current state of the Portland music scene and some Fat Wreck Chords related stuff. AM! talks about their Mancow experience, as well as their decision to join Warped Tour, the backlash and the experience of it. They also chat about their contribution to the Protect comp, the fun of foreign touring, and what movies they've been able to catch. Other music related news includes a review of Ignite's newest album, the Warped Tour Comp, and oddly enough, a live review of Foreigner. In movies, the guys talk about being annoyed at theatres, as well as older releases like Good Night and Good Luck, History of Violence, Milwaukee, Minnesota, and Fargo. Games include Rayman, Indiana Jones 2007, Assassins Creed, and Prey. Two books are actually covered in Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas and Shroud of the Thwacker. Songs on this episode include 'Pints of Guinness Will Make You Strong (live)' by Against Me, 'Radiation' by The Epoxies, 'By the Throat' by Dead to Me, 'Anarcho-Syndicalist' by Hit the Switch, and 'Back off Man! I'm a Scientist' by Henceforth.
