Roger Winter is one of the leading voices on Sudan. He worked for several years as the Executive Director of the United States Committee for Refugees. In 2001, Roger became a high ranking official for the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) where he was involved in negotiations to end the conflict in Southern Sudan.
