They are there as backup but they never get to play an important role like the hero. The Bible, however, has some âsidekicksâ that go against the popular thinking in that they actually mattered and did things for Christ. These sidekicks were merely sidekicks in name - they were able to use their position to support, encourage and in some cases, lead.
