Joseph R. Byrne, 41, grew up in the Bronx dreaming of someday playing at Yankee Stadium. Today he's living that dream as project executive for Turner Construction co., the lead contractor for the new stadium the Yankees are building across the street from the House that Ruth Built. Andrew Wright spent a day with Bryne in June of 2007, 10 months into the job. Byrne talks about the challenges of the biggest job in Turner's New York City portfolio, dealing with the Yankees and the residents of the South Bronx neighborhood.
