Tired, So Very, Very Tired
This podcast was recorded late after a hot and grueling Saturday at Laguna Seca Raceway, scene of the 2006 USGP. The day saw record temps--100 degrees or so--which nearly melted both men and machine. After a full twelve hours at the track, Soup trundled off to to record this podcast with our intrepid GP correspondent/columnist, Julian Ryder. A celebrated author of multiple books and popular Eurosport broadcaster, Ryder, has been hitting motorcycle races as a fan and a worker bee for over two decades. He and a soup staffer discuss subjects as diverse as why Britain can't seem to get a GP winner in the headline class, GP racing at Laguna Seca and how his current job is the end result of a giant stumble backwards into gainful employment. Again, this was at the end of a long day: forgive the stammering, muttering and pointless questions and also the occasionally vague answers.
