The Complete Works of Wm. Shakespeare (Abridged): "Once More Unto Abridge"
Last chance to get tickets to the Festival's current production, the hilarious "The Complete Works of Wm. Shakespeare (Abridged), the send-up that brought to world-renown its creators, The Reduced Shakespeare Company. Today we scan the rave reviews of the production, helmed by acclaimed director Tony Tsendeas, who gives us some brief notes on approaching this wild and effervescent comedy. He speaks about comedic influences, his approach to directing such a knockabout amalgam, and his belief that even though the show gives the illusion of an evening of improv, it becomes a complete and rewarding experience for the audience. Actor and Artistic Director James Kinstle gives us a brief glimpse of the riotous Kings From Shakespeare's Plays Football Game. The funniest Shakespeare Play in town runs at the Festival's Elizabethan Theatre at St. Mary's through October 29, 2006. It stars James Kinstle, Ben Kingsland, and Bolton Marsh.
