The Complete Works of Wm. Shakespeare (Abridged): "All The Works On Stage"
We explore the Festival's next production, the hilarious "The Complete Works of Wm. Shakespere (Abridged), the send-up that brought to world-renown its creators, The Reduced Shakespeare Company. For the BSF production, we talk to Artistic Director James Kinstle, who takes on one of the three roles in the comedy. Kinstle explains why he chose to do the show and how he believes it is an important piece of theatre -- especially in terms of introducing Shakespeare to those to whom the Bard has been seen as unaccessible. Kinstle takes us through the riotous Kings From Shakespeare's Plays Football Game and gives us a taste of the play's take on Shakespeare's Comedies -- as one play. The funniest Shakespeare Play in town runs at the Festival's Elizabethan Theatre at St. Mary's, October 6-29, 2006. It is directed by Tony Tsendeas and stars James Kinstle, Ben Kingsman, and Bolton Marsh. For tickets, www.baltimoreshakespeare.org.
