Birnham Wood Comes to Evergreen
Festival Artistic Director James Kinstle joins us for the first of two podcasts focusing on the Festival's 2007/2008 season. In this episode, we talk about the first show of the year, the outdoor production of MACBETH at Evergreen Meadow. (MACBETH, directed by Tony Tsendeas and starring Conrad Feininger in the title role, plays July 6-22, 2007.) The Festival's season then takes up residence in its indoor home, the beautiful Elizabethan Theatre at St. Mary's for ANTIGONE. Kinstle discusses how relevant ANTIGONE is for today's audiences and how accessible this particular translation (Bertolt Brecht/Judith Malina) will be for our audiences. (ANTIGONE, directed by Raine Bode, plays Oct. 19 - Nov. 11, 2007.) For tickets and more info, www.baltimoreshakespeare.org. Music from the Podshow Podsafe Music Network at music.podshow.com.
