The creators of PodNova are developers which are tied to the podcasting phenomenon from day one. Erik de Jonge wrote the first lines of code in the Open Source project Juice Receiver (previously known as iPodder Lemon). Robin Jans has more then 8 years experience designing userinterfaces, and was one of the first users of the then called iSpider client which developed on that early feedback.
We started building PodNova at the end of 2004 with the following key functionality in mind (which we released to the public mid May 2005):

• online subscription management
• one-click subscribing to podcasts
• easy searchable and browsable (spidered) directory to find podcasts
• create an integrated experience for listeners
• synchronize your personal podcatchers over multiple locations/systems
• a true ranking system which is not only based on voting

We've been -and we're still- continuously working behind the scenes to bring you new features and functionality. We want to deliver what you want, and keep the system as open as it is now.

Some improvements and new functionality we've released in beta 2.0:
